Brancepeth Castle Golf Club
Brancepeth Village, Durham, County Durham, DH7 8EA United Kingdom
Brancepeth Castle Golf Club was designed by the world famous architect Harry Colt in 1924 and laid out on what was Brancepeth Castle Deer Park, the stables and coach house being converted into the clubhouse. Brancepeth is a beautiful parkland course of 6400 yards SSS70 offering a great variation of holes. The deep ravine cutting through the course, provides some challenging tee shots.Book a Tee Time

Even though we played this course with high winds and driving rain it was a great course to play, i will certainly be going back and hopefully play this course in better weather. i took 13 people to play this course and everyone of them said that they would love to play it again

As member the club has taken big steps in recent years, the course condition has improved vastly. The pro shop has been completely renovated.

A really good course with stunning signature holes over a ravine which are a real test for golfers of most levels.
Greens have improved massively over the season and course is in fantastic condition although the rough can suck your ball in never to be seen again and ruin a good round.
Downside is the pro shop which comes straight out of the 1970's.

We played in a recent 4BBB. Weather was lovely and the course is very pleasing to the eye although the greens were poor in my opinion with lots of jumps of the ball and very slow. The course is very pretty with some cracking holes over ravines though make sure your ready for a hike as it's very hard work under foot (not helped in my case by the very obnoxious pro? in the golf shop selliing me a dud trolley and watching me struggle from the door way without saying a word) the pro? aside, the staff were very nice and friendly and the facilities in the locker rooms are great.

A very enjoyable course. Most of the holes present a challenge of one kind or another. The most notable feature of the course is it's long par 3's. The club itself is a bit of a step back in time. It's got an extensive club house complex, which is nice enough but like some other parts of the club could do with some freshening up.

Greens are true & quick. Nice layout. 18th is a challenge to reach the fairway! The worst course planner I've bought!
