Braintree Golf Club
Braintree Golf Club was founded in 1891 making it one of the earliest in the country and the third oldest in Essex. It is a par 70 parkland course featuring tight tree lined fairways, water hazards and fast true greens.
It has been on the East of England PGA tour circuit since 1992 and is regarded by professionals and amateurs alike as a course that demands accurate ball striking and good course management.Contact Information

I have had the pleasure of playing at this club once or twice a year for the last 25 years, I have watched it improve with time, especialy the front section over the road which has become a nice 6 hole loop with not one poor hole on it. Tees Fairways and Greens are good, as are the magnificant trees of which there are many and some are very old. an ability to work a ball is an asset on this course. The course is a good test of golf and I look forward to my next visit. If I may add, the improvements to the Masonic Home have given given this club an upmarket feel from the days when it was overgrown with brambles and looked very shabby.

The club's apperance was quality and the course was pretty however for the money £52 a round Sat the fairways were rough, the grass on the tees needed cutting. I would play again with a 2 for 1 voucher ie £26 which is what its worth.
