Hi Bowring park golf course is the oldest municipal course in England ,being a municipal course you do tend to get people not to good at the game, but we all had to start some were. The course can some times get a bit wet in the winter, but for all that it is a very nice course

Nice municiple, bisected by the M62 motorway. The holes on the far side of the motorway are the toughest, but do tend to get waterlogged in very wet weather.
Personally, I really like the 15th-18th holes which are all straightish par 4's with a little bit of gradient. Hole 5 is a nice hole with a dog leg right, which requires a good tee shot. Hole 6 has an elevated tee, and is a good hole if you get a decent drive, but a nightmare if not!
After a few bad rounds in the winter, I only really play this one in the summer. The Course
