Excellent course with fantastic scenery, apparently called a 'Links' course because of the wind factor not near the sea. Must have been lucky, we had a beautiful day, not much wind at all but still very testing. Course in wonderful condition and each hole different, very fast greens. Will certainly be coming back, especially on the special £20 deal. Welcoming clubhouse and members. Wonderful day!

Interesting course with many blind holes. Challenging due to the up and down nature. Not in bad condition considering recent weather. I am not sure paying £40 to play here would be good value. The reason why I and many other people do not join golf courses is because of the pompous objectionable members who are rude and live in the dark ages. Using a mobile phone in the clubhouse where there was no signs indicating that they should not be used was the crime. There are no objections to this being pointed out but there are decent ways to treat people not shouting it out. I would not play at this course again and would advise anybody who might be considering membership of a golf club not to consider Bolton Old Links.
