Blackpool North Shore Golf Club
Just 500 yards from the North Promenade, this links course is relatively flat compared to most as it uses natures elements to make the rolling fairways and large greens testing to all handicappers. It has been used as an Open Championship qualifying course on more than one occasion and is a real gem of the north. The renowned H S Colt designed the course in 1920 with very few changes being made since to this entertaining track.Contact Information

Course Information
Location
Location: Make your way on to the Promenade and head North. Go past the Tower and North Pier - two miles down there is a roundabout (the only one on the promenade) - continue along the Queens Promenade heading north and take the 7th right into Shaftesbury Avenue (Castle Casino on the corner). Go to the top of this road (about ½ mile) crossing all junctions, and turn left at the T junction into Devonshire Road. BNSGC is the first on the left BEFORE you go down the hill.

Handy that I've got such a good course on my doorstep, good open course which has a links feel about it IMO. Good facilities too - golf pro shop exellent - they have a video tech room to assess your swing which is a real bonus and can really help develop your game. As for quality of the course - green exellent condition - they play pretty fast too. Fairways in good nick too. Watch out for the par 4 13th hole along Devvy Road - one slice to the right with a driver and you'll be on the road !! watch out.

this course has been used as an open qualifier. it is always in excellent condition and the bar and catering excellent.it is open all year and drains very well. i play this course as a visitor every year and is a must play. it is an excellent venue for societies and very rerasonably priced.
