Bishop's Stortford Golf Club is a traditional members' club with a warm welcome, it is situated on the eastern edge of Bishop's Stortford, with excellent access to the M11. An attractive, undulating parkland par 71 course of 6404 yards enhanced by a large variety of trees and flowering shrubs, it provides a challenging test for both average and low handicap golfers.Book a Tee Time
Price Guide: ££££Visitors: Putting out on the 18th Green at BSGC. Visitors must have an official handicap and are requested to observe the club dress code on the course and in the clubhouse. Visitors are welcome at all times when the tees are not reserved or the course not closed.

Lovely course.
It was my 4th round of the day as part of a charity event so I didn't enjoy it as much as I'd like to, and it was tipping down.
Nice variety of long and short par 4's and par 3's. Very scenic in places too. Fairways in excellent condition and the greens were very fast, even after the rain.
Its tough to get a round if your not a member or know a member but if you get the chance then give it a go.
Would go back.

I have played the course many times as i was previouslya member. I loved the layout of the course and the variety of holes, it's certainly a good challenge for any golfer.
The clubhouse is new, having been built after the members bought the club in 1993. It has excellent changing facilities and a large bar and dining area for functions/events.
The Pro is very accomodating and has a large stock of good brands along with a simulator or practice range to try them on.
The course has undergone some good changes in recent years to make it more challenging to the good golfers and fairer for the higher handicaps. The holes vary considerably as you go round, with the ninth and 18th coming back right to the clubhouse. the greens are usually quick and trueno matter what the weather.
It's really easy to find, being just off the M11 by Stansted Airport, but not so noisy as to put you off your game, unless the red Arrows do a fly past.

A very interesting and "quirky" lay out with some great holes.
I played in winter with good fairway conditions and suprisingly fast greens, looking forward to a round here in the summer.
