What a difference from playing Oulton Hall yesterday. This is a true golf course, well maintained tees and greens and a joy to play. Will be booking again.

good fair test, nice club friendly locals,would seriously consider membership if i lived more locally, quick true greens bet they are lightening in summer played today 14/4/12 defo be coming back for another round or so

A great challenge but very hilly so be prepared. The Heather can be a game killer so being straight is a must. The weather helped but the wind can also be a killer I am told. All very friendly there and the last hole is superb - for the view and the challenge. Enjoy

Played for the first time April 2010. All of us thought the greens very poor condition.
Glad we had deal on price, would not pay the std rate of £30 ea for a course in this condition. played Temple Newsome in Leeds for a third of the price same week, greens far superior even for a municipal Pro very pleasant & helpful. Will probably come again if greens improve & price is right. Can understand the need to drop the £600 joining fee.

The course is a good challenge with a mixture of parkland and moorland. Greens are true but the heather holes really arent to bad. There was 8 of us and the occassional wayward drive, but no lost balls and no struggling to get out. Would return to play here again happily.

Really helpful and friendly when calling to book and exactly the same when arriving to play.
Tough course (for me) 28 H'cap,but really enjoyable and great feeling of achievement when you sink the final putt on the 18th.

A must play course, well known and enjoyed. Gentle introduction over first 5 holes then course tightens up, to provide a tougher challenge. Never so difficult as to become unplayable, but sensible ball placement saves heartache.
We were well looked after and catered for. We will be back.

Enjoyed this one.....good test,especially on the tops when parkland changes to moorland (deep heather and bracken). Very friendly club and superb meal.
