Good greens and improving bunkers. A fair test on an open course. Thankfully, few trees.

Greens are the best around throughout the winter - which is why the Thomson Tour play their pro-ams their from October to March.
Have recently spent money on the course re doing the bunkers (so not quite so many stones in them now!!!) And its a lot harder to hit the greenhouse on the 8th now (although as my playing partner proved not impossible!)
Overall a good quality course and friendly staff - bit expensive for non members at weekends though.

The course is very flat, so it's easy to walk. There are quite a few small lakes that come into play, and because it's flat, these expand when it rains, making some of the holes even tighter. The course meanders through a housing estate (large expensive houses) so try to keep it straight off the tee! Greens are usually in good, fast condition, and quite sandy, so they drain well. The bunkers are not very good - very little poor quality sand in them. I haven't played it since the new owners took it over in mid 2008 - the owners include the 2007 World Golf Trick Shot Champion - Geoff Swain.
