An incredible all-round experience

If you want a mix of amazing service, a stunning clubhouse looking over the incredible grounds that Bearwood possesses, and a wonderful golf course, this this the place.
The greens are lightning fast and seriously pure, and the fairways watered and better than some greens I've played on. There was plenty that peaked my interest too, with the fifth, seventh, nineth, tenth, and thirteenth holes in particular impressing me with the way they make you think and execute shots. Water is everywhere so it's not for the feint of heart, but if you play in the evening there are some incredible views over the water and from elevated tees.

The practice facility is state of the art, and service impeccable.

Very good and exciting course. Great views, greens good in the wet but the fairways can be boggy!
Half way hut great food and friendly staff. Main Clubhouse overlooks 4 holes and presents itself well.

Lovely course for a charity golf day! Excellent condition, just some remodeling work on the first/tenth fairways stopped it being excellent! Good food and excellent staf, good social distancing and careful service! Would highly recommend.

Perfection

My first review of any golf course on here but I couldn't pass the opportunity to comment on Bearwood Lakes. I have only been playing golf for 2 years and this along with the Sunningdale Old Course are easily the two courses that stand out by a long way. The fairways are perfection, the greens are true but fast, the course layout is super challenging but rewarding of any good shots and most importantly the people are super friendly.

My favourite holes were:

Par 5 5th hole which has some bunkers to avoid from the tee before a reachable green surrounded by bunkers at the front and water at the back

Par 4 7th hole (stroke index 1) which needs a perfectly placed tee shot to have a shot at a green 15-20 yards above the fairway

Par 3 9th hole over water which is just a stunning view (I somehow managed to birdie this)

Par 4 13th a dog-leg left to right with a ridge in the middle which you should clear with a solid drive leaving a simple wedge into the green surrounded by the lake

Par 4 18th a lovely ending with any drive pulled left punished by thick rough, the bunkers surrounding the green are deep too!

I have been luckily to play a lot of courses in the Surrey/Berkshire area but the complete package of great course, friendliness and satisfaction makes this my favourite so far!

Third time i have been fortunate to play here, the course and facilities are second to none a truly well maintained course and perfect greens. A course for both the Pros and low handicappers to enjoy.

Absolutely fantastic course in fantastic condition ; lots of fairly recent improvements including new bunkers, tree clearing and new lakes. Lunch was also good - pretty near perfect.

This club is always mentioned in the best course lists in magazines and its easy to see why. You feel a million miles away from everything when playing here, the greens were in great condition and the course is one of the prettiest ive ever seen.

Beautiful course

PLayed a dozen times. shame there was so much sand on the greens (which slowed them a bit as they are so normally lighning fast). Always an incredible round to play on such a luxury course. Everything is just faultless. The staff are so nice, the half way house ladies and the memebers always smile. Roll on the next game. Shame I played to lousy.

This is a terrific course offering up a great club house with very very nice staff. The course itself is well laid out, some great holes, a little water here and there and the condition always seems to be A1 even after lots of rain!

A truly stunning course.
Members only but had a one off opportunity to play here.
In my top three easily. Course ingest condition, the sun was shining.
Facilities superb.
Pine tree course very picturesque and a great challenge.

Such an awe inspiring course, beautifully manicured. Greens are top notch and faster than ever..no idea how I managed 33 putts on 18 billiard tables ! Can't wait to play again as it is majestic. Having just watched Augusta on TV the comparisons are endless!!!! Carl the pro is a real gentleman!

course is always well presented as you would expect from a members and guests only establishment. I have played it a few times and the greens have always rolled true and typically very quick. Need to always be looking to give yourself an uphill putt.

Honoured to be invited to play. It is an immaculate course. Fairways are lush - makes the very occassional unplaced divot an eyesore!! (How dare players not want to maintain this utter perfection!!?)
