Outstanding course condition , great people in the pro shop , Course staff & club house along with very pleasant members . This is exactly what a local members club should strive to become.

Played this course as a four ball with a friend who had won a free round in a competition. Have played several courses and for the price it charges it is a bit of a let down. The dress code is pretty comical but the membership on the course were worse. Obviously not happy to see visitors on their course and from the efforts of the fourball in front had spent more time selecting the correct socks and not enough practising their drives. Try Dummer up the road, friendlier, better value and a better round

I currently play at a 28 handicapp. I went to Basingstoke Golf Club. It was very pretty. I found the dress code a bit rediculous as I go could show up in scabby shorts and red above the ankle socks, but you couldn't wear ankle socks. As it was a tournament, I played off the whites and it was easy for the most part. I found myself far more challenging than the course. There were no water hazards, so I thought they would have more difficult bunkers or something to add the odd challenge. Maybe it's my inexperience that lead to me think a private club would be more challenging.

Noisy course - next to main road and then M3 along another side. Snooty local membership too. Both on the course and in the clubhouse. Fairways and greens were in good condition, but the course is not that interesting - too up and down. Won't be going back.
