The course is in excellent condition after all the rain we've had recently, the grass is very lush. There could be a lot more sand in the bunkers and there's a lot of golfers who don't repair their pitch marks that play here, which is disappointing. (I played 4 days in a week and repaired 3-4 per green).
The views are excellent from around this course as it winds itself along the River Yare valley and there's lots of wildlife to enjoy too.
A good test of golf and a delight to play.

Forgiving fairways on the hill course. Interesting holes. Wind can be challenging as quite exposed. Greens well maintained. Great views over surrounding countryside. Feels quite a long course as well. Great fun.

Loved the Hills golf course, struggled on the Valley course and found the amount of leaves on the course really off putting and difficult to find your ball. The hills golf course is definitely more forgiving if you are a novice like me.
Enjoyed the sports bar as well, although drinks are a bit pricey.

This has two great courses The Hills & The valleys, good courses in the summer months but can get very wet and boggy in the winter, the valleys course is a bit tougher than the Hills, but the Hills is no pushover

Played both courses, The Valley and the Hill Course, The Valley is a good challenge to any golfer, with the 9th and 10th being very tight and only a good drive will see you okay on these holes. The Hill is a nice open course but still able to test your skills.

This club has two courses and I played the Hill Course. As the name suggests the course was quite hilly, but there were no severe hills to climb or go down. The greens were challenging being quite quick and the runs and borrows not easy to read. A river running through the course comes into play on two holes and requires some course management to high handicappers.

Played the Valley ( Friday 10th July 2009 ) Course in excellent condition. Word of warning is to not wear any bright Yellow or Green shirts. They attract small black bugs like revellers to Glastonbury. Had to buy a new shirt after nine holes as it got to much.
Still a very good days golf.

Played the Hill Course. First tee is a long way from the club house. Course in good condition. Wide open fairways and a fair challenge. Greens had been aerated so ball didn't run quite as true as it might have done. Speed of greens seemed to vary a bit as well. Nonetheless an enjoyable round.

Went with some colleagues and we got a great deal £22.50 for a round, a pint and a bacon and sausage baguette. What more could you want!

This was the first time I had played Barham Broom ( Valley ) and to be honest I thought the course was pretty average. I, much like Allan Clarke found the members to be a bit too ' over the top ' but the staff were really helpful. Certainly not the greatest course I have ever played.

Excellent course, lots of variety although it is quite heavily played, the groundstaff do a good job on it.
Good facilties at BB.
Lots of water on the Valley course - if anyone finds about 6 balls with Titleist 1 on, they are mine!

Good course; didn't do it justice.

This is the first time i have played Barnham Broom valley course but it won't be the last. I found the course to be difficult but not so difficult that i felt that i could not play it. Every green, fairway, bunker and tee were in great condition and the surrounding woodland was a welcome break from the hot weather. a very enjoyable round of golf.
