Banstead Downs Golf Club
Banstead Downs is a downland course built on chalk. It has a reputation for being an "all year round" venue and rarely is the course unfit for play. The course has been designated an area of Special Scientific Interest because of the natural flora and fauna. The fairways have a natural undulation and good definition.
At 6194yds, par 69 it is a test for golfers of all abilities and work has started to extend the first and second holes to make the course approximately 6,500yds and a par 70. The work does not affect the existing holes, which are in normal use. We have two par 5's, 11 par 4's and 5 par 3's. All the holes are bordered by trees of different varieties. The course remains as usual in excellent condition and has received praise from our visitors. Contact Information

Location
Location: oming North from Reigate / the M25 on the A217.Just over 6 miles North of the M25 you go straight across the A2022 from Epsom to Purley at a large traffic lights, heading towards Central London and Sutton. After 0.9 mile of dual carriageway you come to a 'Y' junction at a roundabout, and you take the left fork towards Wimbledon and Central London, staying on the A217 (the right fork goes to Belmont and Sutton along the Brighton Road). About 200 yards after the roundabout, take the first left into The Crescent, then first left again into the 'No Through Road' leading to the Clubhouse. Coming South from London on the A217 (Sutton-by-Pass). You cross the A232 from Epsom/Ewell/Cheam to Carshalton/Sutton/Croydon near Cheam Village, then drive for 0.8 miles before turning turn right at the traffic lights into Northey Avenue, then immediately left at the mini-roundabout into Burdon Lane. Go for another 0.6 miles, and when the Road turns left, watch for traffic from your left then go straight ahead into the short cul-de-sac and Club Car Park.

greens stay true almost regardless of the weather. It may not be the longest but it is a true test of golf. Highly recommended all round.

banstead is such a good club, the greens now are like lightning in this summer just gone past, i hit a high 7 iron in on the front of the gren, and it rolled the the far back in the heavy grass, the course is now in excellent condition its hard even to get 25 points now.

A great corse with increddible greens. Fairways in tp condition. Lots of bunkers with good clean sand. Some tough par3s but also reachable par 5s. green fee available approx £22.00 which represents good value for money. highly reccommend.
