Although comparatively flat in nature the course has been laid out with a range of strategically placed trees. Founded in 1914, Balmoral has a rich golfing history through its long association with the legendary Fred Daly, the only Irishman to win the British Open in 1947.

Established in 1914, the course at Balmoral offers a stern test to golfers of all playing standards over its 6,276 yards of mature parkland, situated less than three miles from Belfast city centre. Whilst only a Par 69 the Standard Scratch of 70 gives testament to the challenge the course offers.
