Avisford Park Golf Club
This cracking, beautifully conditioned little course is set in 89 acres of peaceful Sussex countryside. The open, parkland layout is played through a valley and features many mature trees and hazards including some strategically placed bunkers as well as a few small wildlife streams and ponds. The key to good scoring is to play the tricky par 3s well and with only one par 5, there is a premium on accuracy over length.

Location: From Gatwick and Dorking Follow the A24 to Worthing At Worthing join the A27 towards Arundel The Hotel is approximately 3 miles from Arundel on the Left hand side in the Chichester direction From Guildford Follow the A283 towards Petworth At Petworth take the A285 to Chichester Turn left on to the A27 The hotel is on the right hand side, approximately 3 miles before Arundel

Nice course front nine very conventional, back nine quite different more rural very undulating, can be tiresome if your game not going to well. but good fun if your having a good day. club membership and pay and play.

Didnt rate this course at all. A lot of straight holes with not much imagination. (also I played very badly). The hotel on the course is a Hilton but again I didnt rate it and sadly I wouldnt recommend it to my golfing buddies.

The course was too dear for a shorter course. They should explore senior discount greens fees. I found the course satisfactory for practicing my driver on all of the shorter par 4's. Greens were being verticut which made them quite bumpy.

This has got to be the friendliest club i've played. went for a weekend in May which coinsided with their captains day on the Saturday, Tee time was put back an hour but the captain made sure we were fed and watered for the wait. Have been back on 2 further occasions. The course is well laid out with hidden bunkers and ditches. Superb greens.

Front nine very flat. but still interesting. 10th hole is a bit of a nightmare. then its a shame when you reach three par three,s in a row then a couple of nice holes to open up on but then another par three up the hill to finish, sometimes not knowing where the pin is or even the green.

The front 9 are ok, the back nine are poor with about 3 par 3s in a row. Booked a weekend with Golf Breaks, the Hotel was good but the course pretty average.
