This is a lovely par three course, a gem. Its beautiful (not just the view of the Abbey) & challenging. Who wants wide fairways with no trees and no rough? And its run by the local council! The greens are not perfect, but a wonderful time each round and very good value. Friendly staff. Discounts available with a member card (free, from memory)

This is a lovely course. Don\'t be fooled by thinking it\'s just a little pitch and putt course. You need to be a straight player here and there\'s not much leniency for drifting off the fairway! Try it and you\'ll have a great time!

This is a great course for beginners. No booking or tee time required so you can just turn up and pay. The price is very reasonable for over 50s and it's never too busy so you can usually tee off straight away. The fairways & greens were lovely but the tee mats and a couple of bunkers have seen better days. Some great views of the Cathedral during your round and some challenging par 3's to keep things interesting. Practice net outside the building and a small putting green placed next to the first tee. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone who is looking to play 9 holes. The building does have basic changing facilities and sells drinks/snacks behind reception.

Use this 9 hole course as a mini round when can't make a full 18. It's not too bad and can
Surprise a few if you don't respect it. Greens were superb just been freshly cut and were like
Carpet it's quite tree lined and number 7 green is protected by a big tree to the left so shot selection
Is tested to avoid the over hanging branch. But good views of cathedral. As with batchwood
The warm up net is old but in better condition than batchwood gc and the putting green is too
There is a little outdoor grass practice area tho I've not used it as yet but it's a fun 8 hole track
Well worth the £7.90 weekday fee and 18 is available and it's never too busy or crowded
Even on society days which are friendly people and always will chat to you
( played April 2014 handicap: 12 score: 26)
