Godstone Golf Course
The Course is a full length facility in excess of 3000 yards with three tees serving each hole - so it will be possible to play the 9 holes twice with the varying tee positions. Three new lakes, which are linked by a fresh water stream add interest and a degree of difficulty to the layout.
The course is overlooked by a superb country mansion which was built between 1775 and 1781. Planning permission has been obtained to convert this building in to a hotel with thirty-eight bedrooms, function and conference rooms, spa and separate leisure club.

Not a bad 9 hole course at all. All of the holes have an '18 hole feel to them' so it's not a pitch and putt type course. Think Woldingham with a couple of lakes, which do come into play. Good value and good for sharpening your game.

Well laid out 9 hole course - plenty of width, good variety, well maintained and picturesque. No facilities to speak of - other than the starter's hut. It will be a great venue when they have refurbished the old manor house

The course is well designed and is kept to a good standard and makes a very good starting point for golfers looking to join a club without spending a fortune. That said membership prices are still steep for a course which you can achieve it all in a couple of two hour rounds.
The course is a four out of five, however the main problem you will encounter is with the customer service, or lack of, Having been a member from starting out as a beginner I had numerous years membership with the same man behind the desk the whole time. For a club which is not busy he never remember my name, face or even the fact I was a member which is exceptionally poor. His customer service skills are virtaully non existant and if I was you I wouldn't bank on getting a hello! I never took guests as his arrogance would just make myself look bad. However once you get past this the course is good just be prepared to be a bit agrovated leaving the starters shed after the poor service. Also good to know I'm not alone on this one with even people on this site saying this aswell.

A nice course that is probably more suitable to mid to high handicappers, with fairly wide fairways. That said, there are some tough holes, with the 5th and 7th likely to cause problems when the wind is in the right (wrong) direction.
Not the happiest of welcomes when I was paying my green fee though.
