Great value for money (£7.50 off teetimes). Obviosly it isnt Augusta, but its great value for a practice round. The groundstaff are working hard to maintain the course, and it has got better since I last played. Quite flat and greens slow, but I enjoyed our game.

Cant complain except the course needs to stop the flies @ mites @ you will get eaten by them so long sleave top @ pants A MUST! @ the yellow tee boxes needs to be switched to the back of the reds as they spoil your game with so many boxes without being level very hard to keep balanced and hit solid contacts but fab 4 the costs check out DIRECT TEE TIMES for bargains but dont tee off after 2pm if no security on as far to many people just walk onto the course which will spoil the fun !

This course is the best condition i seen, havent been a fan over the years but a lot of work has been done to improve the course and the greens are the best around.

Course is playing well and looks in exceptional condition, fairways are very forgiving and the greens are in great shape, lots of birdie opportunities on this course, only wish my golf was good enough to take advantage of them.

Greens are much improved. Just wish the scruffs would stop ruining it for others by hacking their way round, not repairing divots/pitch marks and dropping litter. Easy course but great for practice.

Cant believe the improvement in the course over the last 12 months greens are superb & the fairways & rough are a million times better with the new drainage in if they just put a few more hazards in or bunkers in tougher positions this could really be a great course. well done to the team for all there hard work its paying off

Ive been playing at kirkby for about 12 years. this is my home course I've seen alot of inprovements in the last 12 months with new draneage in now.
the fairways are well kept and the greens are in good condition .
I think it's a great course for beginners .and all the staff give's you a warm welcome

I've been playing at Kirkby for over 25 years on and off, and the improvements over the last 12 to 18 months, from what it was all those years ago, is a credit to all of the green keepers who work tirelessly to keep the course in the condition that they have got it to today, well done everyone. The only thing lacking is security, to keep the undesireable element from undoing the good work of the staff.

this is my local course .they keep improving it each year
dave weston is the cousre profesional very nice fella
great course to play some long holes and some short holes the greens are fairly flat couple of dog legs aswell

please anybody put some money into this course? needs proper security around the perimeter and needs to close more throughout the year as it doesn't get enough time to rest or drain! the fairways and greens have been getting shorter over last few years and the 8th hole has been off for nearly 3 years now and i can only presume its money related? i know people at the club are doing their best but im sure there must be somebody or any local companies out there who may be interested in making this golf course a part of the comunity and maybe give back opportunities for all to benefit !is there somebody who cares enough to make things change! this course is an excellent experiance and in the spring its best to play but come summer with the increase in golfers sometimes cannot live up to its potential but winter comes again and forget it! but please come and play it is set up for fun and the par 72 will give you further enjoyment! p.s please can the club/course change the stupid 15th into a par 5 and play from the whites as the course is always soaked and nearly always into the wind which makes it play like stroke index 1! and move the tee up on the 5th maybe to the reds and make it a par 4 which would be very exciting in the summer and would be realistic in the winters? LOL or look into were the yellows should be played from? thanx LOL

Nice wide fairways to help beginers, I really enjoyed this as it gave me some confidence off the tee when you hit every fairway ut one
