The Players Club
The course is rich in features with woodland, lakes, trees and gorse coming into play. "We have had the benefit of four years on this very exciting project" said Course Architect, Adrian Stiff who has also designed several other notable West Country courses including Cumberwell Park, The Kendleshire and Oake Manor.
The usual 'railway sleeper' trademark is to be found and over 4000 have been used in the construction of the course. The 4th will be the signature hole; it's a two-time carry over a huge lake, make a 4 here and you will always be very happy. The short holes are all very impressive fronted by the obligatory water. The par 5’s are all monsters from the back tees yet fair from the front at 130 yards forward. This you will need at the 8th hole that borders on par 6 territory at 696 yards. Contact Information

Round booked for 7.45am. course locked till 7.25am, Pro shop closed till 8.15am toilets closed till 8.10am. considering we should have teed off at 7.45am pretty poor showing and not even reduction in price as we eventually teed off nearly an hour late. Course was great though, well worth a round.

A wonderful course.was a bit boggy in places but we did have a down poor for a few days before.some hard to reach greens ( infact opens on a island green)and some narrow fairways.15 pound a round (in winter) for a course like this is a one off.must visit

Played here on the way to a golf break at Celtic Manor and was really impressed. There are some great holes and I would rate the par 5 15th as one of the best holes in the UK - challenging and visually stunning! Highly recommend The Players Club and its only a mile from J18 of the M4.

Interesting course with some nice holes. However slightly overvalued and still maturing. Also limited facilities in term of clubhouse & pro shop.

Again played on a winter deal, VFM, suggest it is played in good weather as there is a lot of water to contend with, take plenty of balls????

Surely the best value golf membership available (Bronze) membership and a very demanding course, with good catering and helpful pro staff

Excellent course with plenty of challenges.
Water comes in to play on many of the holes and this makes you think all the way round. They are developing land to install a new course and already have a good par 3 course based around a large lake. Clubhouse is excellent and the pro shop were helpful apart from the hired electric trolley that gave up after fourteen holes! The Course

We played this on a shockingly wet and windy weekend. The course is hard off the back tees, but even under the ridiculous amount of water it had thrown at it that weekend seemed to drain well and play true. Would love to go back and see if it gets much easier in less than a gale. Inland links golf requiring strength off the tee and precision into small and undulating greens plus the biggest par 5 I have yet played (630-odd yards!). CLubhouse welcoming, friendly pro and good practice facilities plus the hardest par 3 course I have ever seen. Great place for a weekend golf break...

Still very young, but if you like long courses, this has lots to offer. It has 7 tee boxes I think, so can suit all handicaps. Well laid out golf course.

An excellent course, although not ideal for the beginner like myself. Try the par 3 9 hole course without losing any balls, very difficult but good fun

Great course, membership very expensive, charging a joining fee when nearly every other course in the area does not is plainly very short sighted.
