Buy One Membership at Dartmouth and Get Another Free

By: Golf Shake | Mon 26 Nov 2012

Dartmouth Golf & Country Club has launched an exciting, innovative new scheme offering people the unique opportunity to become a member of Devon’s premier golf resort and get another membership absolutely free.

The club’s ground-breaking GolfSHARE initiative allows prospective new players to sign up at the 27-hole complex and then invite a friend or family member to join them as an associate member with no extra charge.

And if both players decide to join after the offer ends, they can do so with no joining fee with both receiving up to £200 off their subscriptions in the first year and up to £100 off the amount due in the second 12 months.

Under the terms of the new scheme, which is available from now until March 15, 2013, new associate members will be entitled to the same playing privileges as full members including a club handicap, the chance to play in competitions and invite visitors to play on members’ guest rates.

The benefits of GolfSHARE don’t stop there, with current seven-day Dartmouth members also being offered the chance to nominate an associate member to join them with equal playing rights up until the closing date of the promotion.

In addition, full members can enjoy free buggies with the incentive-packed programme, whilst they will also be entitled to the savings of up to £200 along with associate members if they subsequently join.

Jamie Waugh, managing director at Dartmouth Golf & Country Club, said: “We wanted to create a scheme that would benefit everyone taking part and we believe we have managed to do that.

“There are no hidden catches and what could be better than being offered the chance to play four months’ free golf?

“One of the biggest problems in golf is how to attract new players into the game. The beauty of GolfSHARE is two-fold; people can come along for free and see if they enjoy being a member of a club and then if they decide to join they can get money back on their membership fees as well.

”It’s a win-win situation for everybody and the club is happy as they have boosted their membership numbers.”

Situated in 225 acres of south Devon countryside, just outside the beautiful town of Dartmouth, Dartmouth Golf & Country Club boasts 27 holes, with the 18-hole Championship Course and Dartmouth Course complementing each other nicely.

The Championship Course was designed to challenge the most proficient golfer, with strategic positioning of tees, meandering streams, 12 water features and undulating greens. But while it makes the better players think, it is not so punitive as to spoil a round for high-handicappers and provides an excellent and enjoyable challenge to golfers of all abilities.

Although only a nine-hole layout, the Dartmouth is built to the same high standards as its sister course. Measuring 2,252 yards with a par of 33, it is guaranteed to test players while they enjoy a more relaxed round.

In addition to golf, the resort also boasts first-class leisure facilities, which include an indoor pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and spa. There is also plenty to explore in the surrounding South Devon countryside and along the coast. Located just four miles outside the historic town of Dartmouth the resort is an ideal base from which to visit the area’s many beaches and attractions.
