Showering Cup Competitors Enjoy The Little Mendip Opening
The Showering Cup took place at the Weekend with 101 Gents competing in the Individual Medal. The Weekend Competition was also used to Open the new course ‘ The Little Mendip ‘ where competitors were invited to play and set the course record for the New 6 Hole Par 3. The Showering was won by Kevin Mattock with a gross 77 nett 68. Division one was won by Martin Myers with a gross 75 nett 69, second went to Wayne Harwood with a nett 72 and third was Captain Terry Russell also with a nett 72. Division two was won by Shaun Rich with a nett 68, second on nett 70 was Paul Apfelstedt and third went to John Whyman with a nett 72. Division three was won by Paul Cullen on nett 72, second went to Chris Linegar with a nett 73 and third was Alan O’Leary with nett 74. A total of six 2’s were recorded in the shape of Selwyn Rees, Nick Harrington, Tom Hurst, Phil Butcher, Trevor Oats and Trevor Davies. The lucky six men took a share of £101 in the 2 spot pot! The Little Mendip Course is now open for play and the score you have to beat was set by Sam Reilly who scored a one under par round of 17 over the six holes. The Course is open Sunday through to Wednesday and then is used as a Driving Range Thursday through to Saturday. The Professionals are holding an Open Day on Friday 6th July
1pm – 5pm where Members and Non Members are welcome to join them for FREE Coaching and balls. Come on up and have some fun!
