Mendip Golf Club January Winter Qualifier

Thanks to Richard Flower and his hardworking greens staff the January Winter Qualifier took place last week. They continue to present the course in fantastic condition, regardless of weather, and Membership numbers are certainly being reflected in their effort. Three divisions competed in the competition which saw Neil Onslow win Division one. Second went to Paul Reakes and third was Simon Grant. Division two was won by Merv Vaughan, second went to Marcus Jones and third was Alan Stratford. Finally Division three was won by Jason White, second went to Alan O’Leary and third was Shaun Rich.
It was eyes down again in the Clubhouse last week with Fuss’s January Quiz. It was a complete sell out and February’s quiz in a few weeks time is already sold out. The top four teams were all very close on the night with just a few points between them. The winning team were called ‘ our hope is the raffle ‘ and was made up of Simon and Pippa Wynn, Matt Turner and Steve Heal. Thanks again to all that took part and to Andy and Beth for their delicious half time Menu.
