On Monday 8th August 2011, 56 golfers were at Cottrell Park Golf Club in order to raise money for Llandough Hospital, Breast Cancer Care Unit.
The format for the event was a team of four, with a twist of the best 2 and the worst stableford scores to count.
All prizes for the day were donated by Meirion and Kim Chesney, who have been fantastic supporters of charity events for many years, and without their generosity the event would not have been the success that it was.
The day started with bright sunshine and the course in superb condition. All 14 teams had the surprise of a photographer on the 1st tee, which turned out to be for some a chance to shine.
Alan Bromley won the individual stableford prize with 40 points.
The winning team with a score of 102 stableford points were; Craig Wilson, Steve Jones, Bernie Bull, Alan Bromley.
The second placed team with a score of 100 stableford points were; Will Hoggett, Terry Hoggett, Simon Hoggett, Johnny Hoggett.

A special thank you must go to Derek Smith, General Manager and the staff at Cottrell Park Golf Club for all their hard work, support and generosity. The Mackintosh course was in superb condition which is a credit to the green keepers following the winter that we had. The Hog Roast in the evening was delicious.
Thanks must go to the photographer Nigel Case who took over 300 photographs throughout the day and gave his time generously.
Finally, a big thank you to all who supported the day with their donations and raffle prizes, without their generosity the event would not have been the success it was.
