A great summer of golf at Wychwood Park
De Vere Wychwood Park is preparing for its busiest ever summer as the Cheshire venue is playing host to some top European events.
The 7,194 yard course, opened in 2002 is now up to European Tour championship standard and it shows as it is one of the eight courses chosen across continental Europe to host a PGA EuroPro Tour event.
The course is looking to test some of the finest golfers as they continue their long road onto the full European Tour.
The golfing starts on Saturday 7 August when the GTour Stops off for their latest event. With the EuroPro event the following week the course will be set-up to test the hardened amateurs, in what promises to be another great day.
Following the GTour is a weeklong golf fest as the course will have its credentials tested to the limit.
As the EuroPro Tour bus pulls in, they have a celebrity pro-am starting on Sunday 8 August. A practice day follows on the Monday then the competition really hots up in the three day event culminating on Thursday.
Friday 13 August surely won’t bring bad luck to the members as the Wychwood Park Golf festival weekend kicks-off with a Texas Scramble followed by a 36-hole individual medal over the weekend, as combined scores determine the winner.
The green keepers get a chance to get the course back to its best before Golfshake rolls into town.
The summer of tournament golf ends when the European Tour Qualifying School starts on Tuesday 21 September with a practice day on the Monday. The four day qualifying ends of Friday 24 September.
Don’t miss out on your opportunity to play one of the leading golf venues in the British Isles. Located just off the M6 it is a perfect central location.
Along with the championship golf course is the four-star hotel making Wychwood Park a great venue for a short golf and leisure break.
