Goymer & Pitts Fly The Flag for The Mendip!

The Mendip Golf Professionals John Goymer and Kevin Pitts secured Final spots in two separate PGA Tournaments last week. Firstly John played at Cumberwell Park in a new PGA Tournament, The English PGA Championship. The Tournament that Sandy Jones, PGA Chief Executive described as 'a milestone in the Association's history' will decide The Champion of England at Goodwood Golf Course in July.

John shot an impressive round of level par and is looking forward to playing the 54 hole, 3 day event with a Purse of £30,000 up for grabs. Kevin travelled to Marriott St Pierre the following day to compete in The Welsh Open Championship where the regional qualifier was being held. The 18 hole event was being played to find the finalists who will play at Ashburnham Golf Club at the end of June. Kevin secured his spot and is looking forward to the 54 hole event which also carries a purse of £30,000.
