Woodlake Park Raises £7,000 for Tenovus
This magnificent sum was raised over the past twelve months, with the proceeds of the Judy Wood Charity Day and associated raffle draws contributing the majority of the money. Woodlake Park also took part in the 2010 challenge held last October 10th which also helped in the fund-raising effort. Past Captain, Mr. Terry Hapgood, expressed his thanks to all the members of Woodlake Park for their generosity when presenting the cheque to charity representative Sarah Jordan. The aim of the Tenovus appeal is to fund a number of mobile treatment units for cancer patients allowing them to receive treatment within the community as opposed to having to travel, often great distances, to receive treatment at Velindre and other similar centres.
